The 2009 Illinois Search and Rescue Conference will be held August 21st-23rd at the Rend Lake Resort & Conference Center in Whittington, Illinois. This year's conference will again bring together search & rescue professionals from across the State of Illinois and surrounding areas to meet, train, and network. The conference is organized with the usual compliment of training and workshop sessions, as well as some additional happenings new to the schedule. The first of these new activities will be the Emergency Vehicle & Equipment Display on Saturday morning, which will showcase Search & Rescue and other specialized emergency response equipment from around the State of Illinois. Another new feature this year is the addition of product vendors that will be showcasing equipment which is applicable to search & rescue. Finally, the Illinois Search and Rescue Council has put together a social event for Saturday night to enhance the networking opportunities among conference participants. Continuing Education Credits are available for conference attendees.
