2010 IEMA Conference Registration Now Open

2010 IEMA Conference LogoThe 2010 Illinois Emergency Management Conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, Illinois on September 7-9, 2010.

Workshop topics and conference sessions this year include: Operability to Interoperability, When the Lights Go Out, Who Goes to Work?, Protecting the Public against Radiological and Nuclear Hazards in Illinois, Higher Education EOC/Exercise Legal Requirements, SEOC Tours, Emergency Response and Those Who Need Support - What First Responders Really Need to Know, The Basics of Federal Grant Writing, Illinois Terrorism Taskforce Updates, Reflections on the Emergency Medical Response to the Earthquake in Haiti: Lessons Learned, Identity Theft, Preparing for an Ag Emergency, Using the Internet to Discover Personal Information, Search and Rescue Operations in Haiti, and an Analysis of the Mumbai Bombings by the FBI.

Advanced conference registration and contributions will be processed exclusively online. IEMA acknowledges the financial constraints facing everyone due to the economy and has therefore determined that there will be no registration fee to attend the conference this year. Conference attendees are responsible for reserving their own lodging at their own expense but can secure rooms at hotels listed on the registration page at the state rate of $70.00 per night.
