McLean County Emergency Management Chief of Operations Hodges has announced the appointment of Alex Trickett as the Acting Sergeant of Search and Rescue. Over the course of the next year, Sergeant Trickett will work closely with Lieutenant of Field Operations Orns to assume leadership and responsibility of the Search and Rescue team. Since joining the McLean County EMA in late 2007, Trickett has been actively involved with the Search and Rescue team, having been deployed on several searches outside of McLean County. Sergeant Trickett has received training for the roles of Search Manager and Technical Search Planner through the Will County Emergency Management Agency's SAR curriculum and recently completed his FEMA Professional Development Series coursework and the Illinois First Responder course. Trickett's promotion to the rank of Sergeant will be made official at a later date. His appointment as the team's Acting Sergeant is effective immediately.
