Disaster Drill Volunteer Opportunity

McLean County LogoThe towns of Bloomington/Normal, area hospitals, and McLean County will be hosting a tornado exercise on both Friday, September 18th and Saturday, September 19th, 2009. The goal of the exercise is to test the ability of the community response capabilities of police, fire, and EMS in McLean County in the event of a severe weather incident.

The Disaster Council is looking for up to 100 volunteers to participate either as a mock patient diagnosed with injuries in a local community disaster or as a distraught citizen looking for a loved one. You may participate on either or both days, but only in one location on Saturday. You must be available for the entire time.
