Contact Sergeant Brehm

A Sergeant either supervises a defined team or supervises an ad-hoc group in support of a given task. A Sergeant will usually supervise between three and seven staff (Searchers, K-9 Handlers, Officers and/or Corporals) and will directly carry out an operation’s functional objectives. In short, a Sergeant and his/her staff ensures the job gets done. A Sergeant reports to a Lieutenant.

Sergeant Brehm is the direct supervisor for the K-9 Operations Team within the Search and Rescue Division. She serves as the K-9 branch director during incidents in which McLean County EMA is the primary search team and as a search specialist (technical discipline advisor) in multi-agency search incidents. Sergeant Brehm coordinates the monthly team training in conjunction with the Sergeant of Training and Safety and facilitates the SAR Probation and Field Training Program for K-9 Operations Team members.
